Importance Of Upkeeping Islamic Traditions

In order to draw special attention to ensuring that Khuddam are regular in meeting with their sick brothers and also meeting the families of deceased members a special session was organised.

An event was held on January 14th in Baitul Hamd Mosque. This event was presided by Respected Sadr Majlis Canada. Over 100 members took part in this event both virtually and in person.

Khuddam were reminded of their duty to visit the ill and distressed brothers. As an Ahmadi Muslim it is our responsibility to serve humanity and this is one of the best ways to do so.

In addition, Khuddam were encouraged to take part in funeral services. Khuddam were motivated to be involved in all aspects from cleaning the body, preparing the body for burial and providing solace to family members.

This duty to our fellow brothers can be beautifully summarised by a saying of Hazrat Masih Mau’ud(as):

“My desire, my wish and my objective is serving humanity. It is my job, my faith, my inspiration and my way.”
