On December 4th 2023, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Canada held an event in Parliament hill Ottawa. The event was attended by Members of Parliament, the Palestinian Ambassador and members of Khuddamul Ahmadiyya. Several news outlets also attended to record and report on the program. Internally, the program was covered by MKAC studios.
The highlights of the session included video clips of Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V (aba). These clips were taken from his recent Friday sermons and other clips aimed at tackling conflicts and establishing world peace.
Sadr Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Canada, Tahir Ahmad Sahib spoke about Huzoor (aba) being the Global Ambassador of Peace. In addition, therewere several presentationsconducted by Murabbian. Murabbi Musleh Shanboor Sahib gave an emotional presentation on the current state of Gaza. Murabbi Farhan Iqbal Sahib presented on Islam and Human Rights.
Murabbi Naveed Mangla Sahib spoke on the contribution of Hazart Musleh Mau’ud (ra) and Chaudhry Sir Zafrullah Khan Sahibs work for the Palestinian Cause. The event was moderated by Salman Mangla, Naib Sadr Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Canada. Mona Abu Amara, the Chief Representative of the Palestinian General Delegation to Canada, delivered an important address appealing to politicians and decision makers to help the alarming situation in Palestine.
In total the event was covered by 35 TV outlets, including CBC and Global News among others. 66 newspapers/online media also reported on the event. Notable media include Toronto Star, CTV News National, CP24 and more. Estimated reach to Canadians was approximately 7.5 millions. In addition through MKAC Studios over 1000’s of views on YouTube were accumulated. This event was also covered by MTA News.
This event was held as the 1st such event to spearhead the global campaign in Canada. Similar programs are scheduled for January in various othercitiesaround the country, Insha’Allah.
